- Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain software solutions supporting Ground Station and modem systems
- Perform software requirements analysis and participate in research and development activities
- Develop new applications, embedded software, and enhancements to existing systems
- Code, test, integrate, and document software solutions throughout the development lifecycle
- Apply software engineering principles, computer science concepts, and mathematical analysis to complex system architectures
- Support modem system development, integration, and internal design reviews
- Research customer requirements, industry trends, and emerging technologies to determine design feasibility
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and system issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams, program leadership, and external customers
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers when needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Modem Software Engineer - Top Secret/SCI position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the development of advanced Ground Station systems by designing, developing, integrating, and testing modem and software solutions for mission-critical defense applications. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s Degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience. An active TS/SCI clearance is required at the time of hire., * Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience (or Master’s Degree with 6+ years)
- Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Strong software design, coding, integration, and troubleshooting skills, * Communication Protocols
- Linux operating systems
- Software Defined Modems
- DevSecOps methodologies
- Cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Network Systems
- C++ and C programming
- Agile development experience
- Experience supporting defense, aerospace, satellite, or ground station systems
- Strong leadership and technical mentoring abilities, * Developing mission-critical software supporting national security programs
- Working with advanced communications, networking, and modem technologies
- Collaborative engineering teams solving complex technical challenges
