Job description

IBM Maximo EAM Mastery: Advanced experience architecting, scaling, and integrating IBM Maximo within heavy industry. Mechanical & Fleet Lifecycle: Specific expertise managing data workflows for rolling stock, train fleets, and mechanical maintenance systems. Engineering & PLM Tool Integration: Proven success connecting PLM, CAD, and BIM platforms (Bentley, Siemens, PTC) into enterprise registries. Digital Twin & Geospatial Strategy: Ability to govern geospatially enabled digital twins utilizing ESRI ArcGIS, metadata, and telemetry flows. Client Industry: Transportation Infrastructure (Transit fleets, rolling stock, mechanical systems) Role Overview: Lead the architectural strategy and creation of a comprehensive Digital Thread, connecting engineering tools (PLM, CAD) with asset registries, telemetry, and enterprise data platforms. This role focuses strictly on physical, heavy mechanical infrastructure-not general corporate IT. Core Responsibilities

  • Digital Thread Strategy: Define end-to-end architecture for mechanical asset lifecycle management, embedding telemetry, BIM, GIS, and asset metadata.
  • EAM Integration: Architect seamless integrations between heavy engineering platforms and IBM Maximo.
  • Digital Twins: Govern geospatially enabled digital twins, harmonizing spatial data into cloud data lakes.
  • Standards & Governance: Enforce open standards and semantic interoperability (ISO 15926, IFC, CityGML, railML).
  • Executive Influence: Present architecture strategies to executives, guide vendor investments, and mentor domain architects.

Requirements

12+ years in Enterprise/Solution Architecture within heavy, asset-intensive industries (rail, transit, aerospace). EAM Expertise (Non-Negotiable) Deep, hands-on integration architecture experience with IBM Maximo. Engineering Systems Mastery of PLM/CAD tools: Bentley (OpenPlant/iTwin), Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, AVEVA, or Hexagon. Geospatial Platforms Advanced knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Hexagon GeoMedia. Domain Focus Proven experience with mechanical systems, fleet overhauls, or rolling stock (versus civil/track or corporate IT). Soft Skills High autonomy (consulting mindset), elite artifact creation, and executive-level communication.
