Board-Level Repair Technician - Phones & Computers (Micro-Soldering)

• Do motherboard repair and micro-soldering: charging ICs, backlight and display circuits, power faults, liquid damage, HDMI ports, and connector and FPC replacement
• Do no-power, no-boot and short-circuit diagnosis using a multimeter, DC power supply, thermal camera and schematics/boardviews
• Handle standard repairs as needed: screens, batteries, back glass and charging ports on iPhone, Samsung and other Android devices
• Assist with data recovery from damaged devices
• Test and inspect used devices before resale
• Log repairs and parts in our POS system (RepairDesk)
• Explain repairs and options to customers clearly and professionally

• At least 2 years of repair experience at a reputable repair business (references required)
• Proven micro-soldering skills. You must be comfortable with hot air, a soldering iron, a microscope, BGA/reballing and jumper wires
• Strong fault diagnosis skills on phones and computers
• Ability to read schematics and boardview software
• Clean, careful work. You handle customers’ devices and data with respect and integrity
• Reliable, on time, and able to work some weekend shifts
• Must pass a hands-on bench test during the interview

Nice to Have

• Apple Watch, game console or MacBook logic board experience
• Data recovery experience
• Experience with RepairDesk or a similar POS
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or others)
