Software Engineer in Test

• Embed in an Agile team and participate in all aspects of product development to ensure quality is engineered from the start.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests each sprint using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, and Rest Assured.
• Integrate and optimize test automation within CI/CD pipelines and establish quality gates.
• Collaborate with project managers, analysts, developers, vendors, and business specialists.
• Analyze requirements and business needs to identify issues prior to test execution.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and project-aligned testing timelines; manage test reporting and signoff.
• Perform defect triage and root cause analysis to drive remediation.
• Champion quality engineering practices and contribute constructive Agile feedback to improve sprint outcomes.
• Support integration testing across multiple systems and interfaces including flat files and APIs.

• Programming with Java/J2EE and JavaScript; experience with Spring, Web Services, Angular, and SQL.
• Hands-on CI/CD integration of test automation and quality gates.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and distributed team coordination.
• Requirement analysis, defect tracking, and comprehensive test reporting.
• Strong analytical and technical skills with proven root cause analysis capability.
• Independent, self-motivated approach suitable for a small QE team supporting many developers.
• Nice to have: financial industry exposure; highly configurable SaaS product experience; relational database experience; Jira and Xray; AWS; Java + Playwright frameworks; integration testing across systems.
