IT System Administrator

Infrastructure Support:

• Operate and maintain Windows Server environments (2012R2 to 2022) and Active Directory.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services.
• Oversee LAN and WIFI networks.
• Administer virtualization through VMware ESX.
• Comcast Business VoiceEdge phone system

User Support:

• Provide user support for American locations, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
• Handle problem and incident management via the ticket system (OTRS).

Documentation and Process Management:

• Create and maintain operational documentation and process descriptions.
• Support the team with administrative tasks and projects

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows server operating systems (2012R2 to 2022), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Aruba/Aruba Central for switches and WLAN, Palo Alto firewalls, WAN, Dell server hardware, and VMware virtualization.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 and 11 client operating systems in corporate networks.
• Essential: hands-on system administration, server administration, software administration, software troubleshooting, system troubleshooting, and technical troubleshooting support.
• Essential: knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, system architecture, operating systems, virtualization, and computer management.
• A computer science background is useful; apply scripting and performance-tuning skills to improve system reliability and support.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with a high level of service and customer orientation.
• Willingness to engage in project-related topics outside of day-to-day business.
• Ability to work independently with a hands-on mentality.
• Excellent communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field required.
• Completed training as an IT specialist in system integration or equivalent qualification in the IT sector.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a system administrator in data center operation.
• Experience in user support in a medium-sized company.
