Job description

We’re seeking a Computer Operator to support operations within a large enterprise Data Center environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) support, production control, infrastructure monitoring, and data center operations. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of ITIL processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment., * Monitor and support daily operations within the Data Center and NOC environment

  • Perform production control activities and manage automated job scheduling processes
  • Support and monitor Control-M and TPE/BPE Manager operations
  • Monitor data center infrastructure including HVAC, UPS systems, generators, fire suppression systems, and raised floor environments
  • Respond to incidents, troubleshoot operational issues, and escalate problems when necessary
  • Follow Change Management, Incident Management, and Asset Management procedures
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity activities
  • Monitor network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, and SNA environments
  • Coordinate hardware/software maintenance activities and vendor support
  • Maintain operational documentation and reports using Microsoft Office tools
  • Ensure adherence to security standards and operational policies within the Data Center

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Two-year degree/certificate in Information Technology or equivalent IT work experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in:
  • Large Data Center operations
  • Network Operations Center (NOC) environments
  • Production Control
  • Control-M
  • TPE/BPE Manager
  • Data Center security and infrastructure support
  • HVAC, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems
  • Change, Incident, and Asset Management processes
  • LAN/WAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, and SNA networking
  • ITIL methodologies
  • Automated job schedulers
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
  • Distributed server environments including AIX, Linux, and Windows
  • Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with State or Federal government agencies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (Preferred)
