Design Engineer

We’re working with a busy manufacturing business in Dundee, who are looking to add a Design Engineer to their engineering department.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical design background who enjoys getting into the detail, solving problems and seeing their designs come to life in a manufacturing environment.

What will you be doing?

• Creating, reviewing and approving technical drawings and specifications.
• Developing design tools and supporting engineering projects.
• Using CAD software to produce 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Applying engineering principles and manufacturing knowledge to design solutions.
• Supporting continuous improvement and sharing your knowledge with junior engineers.

• A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (degree, HNC, HND or ONC with relevant experience).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and ANSYS.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 design standards and quality systems.
• An understanding of engineering design principles, manufacturing processes and regulated environments.
