Job description
Vysus Group is seeking experienced Senior and Principal I&C Control System Engineers to support major nuclear, fuel-cycle, advanced reactor, and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects in the United States.
These positions support highly regulated and safety-critical nuclear projects involving control systems engineering, instrumentation design, digital systems integration, licensing support, and multidisciplinary EPC execution.

The Senior and Principal I&C Control System Engineers will provide technical leadership, engineering expertise, and independent technical solutions across nuclear and industrial projects.
The role includes responsibility for control system design activities, engineering analyses, digital instrumentation and controls systems, safety system interfaces, procurement support, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout project execution.
Principal Engineers are expected to provide technical leadership, mentoring, project oversight, and engineering guidance across complex projects and teams., * Lead I&C engineering and design activities
- Prepare and review specifications, calculations, and design documents
- Support in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development support and review, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) systems
- Develop instrumentation and control diagrams, layouts, and datasheets
- Perform instrumentation sizing calculations
- Support SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) database development and reporting
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams
- Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and project execution
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor coordination?, Bachelor of Science degree in either Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or any related engineering discipline.

Senior Engineer - Significant relevant engineering experience with strong technical knowledge in the applicable discipline.

Principal Engineer - Extensive relevant engineering experience, with demonstrated technical leadership and a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
Candidates should demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:
- Nuclear facility engineering
- EPC project delivery
- Advanced reactors and SMR projects
- Safety-critical systems
- Control systems design and networking
- DCS / PLC / SIS systems
- P&ID development and review
- SIL concepts and safety systems
- Instrumentation and controls engineering
- Digital systems integration
- Engineering calculations and analyses
- Multidisciplinary engineering coordination
- Regulatory and quality compliance
Preferred Experience
- U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) project experience
- Nuclear quality assurance programmes (ASME NQA-1)
- Experience with Nat’l Electrical Code NFPA 70/70E
- Experience with Integrated Safety Analysis (ISA) concepts
- Fuel-cycle or enrichment facility experience
- Manufacturing, Commercial, Industrial or Oil Gas/Chemicals facility projects
- Practical field, commissioning, or startup experience
- Experience leading engineering teams and project execution
Software & Tools Experience
Experience with engineering software and design platforms such as Navisworks, SmartPlant Review, Instrucalc, AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, Smart 3D (S3D), Revit, and other 3D modeling and 2D Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) tools is preferred.

- U.S. Citizenship may be required for certain project assignments
