Job description

Join a mission-driven team supporting children and families through ABA therapy. Behavior Functions Inc. is hiring a Part-Time IT Support Specialist to keep our clinical technology running smoothly. You’ll troubleshoot devices, manage secure access, and empower staff with reliable tech tools-all while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems and making a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for clinicians, supervisors, and

administrative staff

  • Troubleshoot issues with laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices used in therapy

sessions

  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant data security protocols across devices and networks

  • Support onboarding/offboarding with IT setup, user accounts, and permissions

  • Assist with EMR platform access (e.g., CentralReach, Catalyst) and integrations

  • Monitor Wi-Fi connectivity and troubleshoot clinic network issues

  • Document IT procedures and maintain support logs for compliance audits

  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware/software procurement and repairs, The position is part-time, approximately 5-12 hours per week, with occasional special projects

Requirements

Do you have experience in macOS?, * Experience in IT support, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health settings

  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and secure data handling

  • Proficiency with Windows, MacOS, and mobile device management

  • Knowledge of productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize urgent requests Ideal Candidate

  • Tech-savvy and empathetic, with a service mindset

  • Comfortable supporting clinicians in high-stakes, time-sensitive environments

  • Interested in contributing to a mission-driven organization that serves neurodiverse communities

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with ABA software platforms (e.g., CentralReach, Rethink, Catalyst)

  • Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk)

  • Basic scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash

  • Web Management experience is a plus!
