Senior Design Engineer

• Lead and support a team of design and manufacturing engineers.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models, drawings and technical documentation using SolidWorks.
• Design and develop complex mechanical components and assemblies.
• Manage engineering projects, technical changes and design deliverables.
• Review customer enquiries, assess feasibility and support technical quotations and cost estimates.
• Work closely with production, quality, customers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, AS9100 and ISO 9001.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong mechanical design background within precision engineering or advanced manufacturing.
• Proficient in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and design for manufacture.
• Experience in project management, technical estimating and customer support.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 advantageous.

This is a varied role combining hands-on mechanical design, technical leadership, project management and customer support.
