Job description

Join a cutting-edge AI Training initiative helping develop the next generation of personal robotics systems. As a Household Data Specialist - Video Capture, you will collect high-quality video demonstrations of everyday household activities using specialized wearable technology that captures hand movements and interactions with real-world environments., * Capture and submit high-quality, specification-compliant video demonstrations of household activities using a UMI gripper wearable device and provided equipment.

  • Contribute to AI training and evaluation projects by generating real-world demonstration data for robotics and machine learning systems.
  • Follow detailed task instructions and project guidelines to ensure all recordings meet quality and compliance requirements.
  • Review feedback from project reviewers and continuously improve recording quality and task execution.
  • Set up and operate recording equipment, wearable devices, and related hardware according to project specifications.
  • Accurately perform household tasks while ensuring demonstrations reflect realistic human interactions.
  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with project teams regarding progress, questions, and feedback.
  • Consistently complete assigned tasks and meet minimum approved data contribution requirements.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Video recording equipment?, No prior AI experience is required. Your ability to follow instructions, perform household tasks accurately, and capture high-quality recordings is what matters., * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions with high accuracy.

  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform physical household tasks precisely and consistently.
  • Comfort using wearable technology, recording equipment, and specialized hardware devices.
  • Ability to receive feedback and apply iterative improvements to task performance and recordings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable access to a fully equipped U.S. household, including kitchen, living spaces, and common household items.
  • Stable, high-speed internet connection capable of uploading large video files.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote environment., * Interest in robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or emerging consumer technologies.
  • Prior experience with data collection, usability testing, user research, or similar hands-on projects.
  • Patience for repetitive, detail-oriented work and willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements.
  • Experience following technical procedures, operating specialized equipment, or contributing to research initiatives.

Compensation Structure

Pay-Per-Task (PPT) contract position. Compensation is based on approved hours of submitted data that meet project quality standards and specifications.

Compensation Rates:

  • $30 per approved hour during the pilot phase
  • $60 per approved hour after calibration, once quality benchmarks are consistently met

As a planning benchmark, contributors can expect approximately 2 hours of work per 1 approved hour of data during the pilot phase. Efficiency typically improves with experience, and post-calibration rates increase earning potential.
