Job description

We are looking for a versatile UX Designer to join our eCommerce creative team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between high-level brand direction and technical eCommerce platform (Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce) execution. You aren’t just pushing pixels; you are leading and participating in discovery sessions, identifying friction points in the buying journey, and ensuring our digital experiences are accessible and brand-aligned., * eCommerce Design Systems & Standards: Design high-fidelity UX/UI, define robust design systems, custom themes, eCommerce apps and reusable components specifically for the Shopify, Big Commerce and Adobe platforms as well as headless front-end frameworks.

  • Discovery & Client Relations: Participate and lead in design discovery meetings with clients to extract project requirements, goals, and brand aspirations.
  • Mock ups & Prototyping: Build and maintain scalable design systems and interactive prototypes within Figma.
  • UI/UX Strategy Recommendations & Audits: Collaborate with our UX Director with comprehensive UX/UI audits of existing digital products to identify usability issues and conversion bottlenecks.
  • Usability & accessibility first: Ensure designs meet usability, accessibility (WCAG), and brand standards., * Translate client business goals and marketing objectives into clear creative concepts and campaign directions.
  • Drive the creative execution across all digital channels, including websites, paid media, email marketing, and social media.
  • Serve as the primary creative authority in client meetings.
  • Collaborate with account and strategy teams to ensure creative work is aligned with project goals.

Execution & Quality Control

  • Establish and enforce high standards for all creative output, ensuring brand consistency and quality for both client and agency work.
  • Guide the concept and production of campaign assets and web design projects.
  • Ensure all creative is optimized for performance, user experience, and conversion.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Customer communication?, * Deep proficiency in UX/UI design principles and methodologies armed with a portfolio and live examples of recent eCommerce UX/UI design and digital production design.

  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency using Figma or similar UX/UI design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong ability to develop and adapt designs across platforms and form factors with an understanding of the opportunities with and limitations of different eCommerce platforms (i.e. Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce including headless front-end frameworks).
  • Strong experience developing and using eCommerce design systems, component libraries, and maintaining brand consistency.
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce best practices, conversion rate optimization (CVR), and user experience (UX) principles for web and mobile.
  • Proficiency in AI-driven design tools with a curiosity to leverage AI to enhance and expedite your workflow and results.
  • Familiarity and some hands-on experience with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with development teams (nice to have: experience working within design systems like Tailwind)., * 3-5 years of experience in a professional design role (Agency experience is a plus).
  • Strategic Empathy: While you might not be building deep data-driven personas from scratch, you have a keen ability to design for specific customer archetypes and business goals.
  • Accessibility First: A deep understanding of Accessibility guidelines to ensure all digital experiences are inclusive.
  • Communication: Exceptional “client-facing” presence-you can explain the why behind your design decisions without using jargon.
  • Communication: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate and defend creative decisions to all stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
