Solution Architect

Are you an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background? Do you enjoy shaping technical strategy, designing scalable solutions and working closely with engineering teams to bring complex ideas to life?

We are looking for a talented Solution Architect to join a growing Digital & Data team, working across a diverse range of sectors and technology environments.

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with architectural leadership, influencing the design and delivery of innovative solutions for a variety of clients. The Role

• Design and assure end-to-end solution architectures across complex technology programmes.
• Define architectural vision, technical direction and engineering standards.
• Produce key architecture artefacts, including High-Level Designs, Technical Options Papers and Key Design Decisions.
• Work closely with engineering teams, taking a lead SME role and establishing architectural guardrails.
• Provide technical leadership across application, data, business, technology and security architecture.
• Support clients with technology strategy, cost estimation and transformation planning.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Work across multiple projects, technologies and client environments.

• A strong background in software engineering, with experience leading engineering teams.
• Proven experience in Solution Architecture or a similar technical architecture role.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, frameworks and delivery methodologies.
• Experience across multiple architectural domains, with a specialism in at least one of Business, Data, Application, Technology or Security Architecture.
• Experience designing and delivering complex applications and technology solutions.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF or Zachman.
• Experience with modelling tools such as UML, ArchiMate or Ardoq.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business decisions.

Experience with wider technology platforms including Oracle, IBM and Salesforce would also be beneficial.
