Job description
Our Product team is hyper-focused on creating products that turn our supply chain clients into raving fans. We are looking for a Product Owner with fluency in Freight Audit and Pay to develop and execute a product roadmap with a focus on making the complex simple. The Product Owner will work with planning, analysis, and business intelligence elements to create a workflow that makes it simple for small to medium sized enterprises to adopt practices that put their supply chain and operation on par with the big players in the industry. We meet our clients where they are and create an experience that is both easy to adopt and easy to use.
As a subject matter expert in areas of supply chain with specific experience in Freight Audit and Pay Products, you will be the voice of the customer that assures the products thrill customers. The Product Owner reports into the product management organization but works closely with their development and UI/UX counterparts in developing the right product, and then creating artifact and compelling positioning to launch products and features both inside and outside the organization.
What Your Day-to-Day Will Include
Product Strategy:
- Translate the day-to-day activities of our users into clear requirements that drive user value
- Working closely with the Product Management Director to prioritize roadmap elements.
- Own and refine the product backlog - balancing long-term vision with short-term iteration.
- A good instinct for must-have functionality vs. nice-to-have.
- Work with customers and other SMEās to understand issues and nuances of work patterns to develop a superior product.
- Listen intently, drive for clarity of problem and clarity of the why behind asks
- Collaborate with UI/UX to define intuitive workflows that reduce friction for users.
- Support go-to-market readiness - helping internal teams understand, demo, and position new functionality.
- Monitor adoption and usage after launch, identifying where the product delivers measurable improvements in accuracy, time savings, or decision quality.
AI-Enabled
- Using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate requirements writing, research, and backlog refinement. Not just āopen to itā, actively does it.
- Diligently evaluating AI tooling output for relevance, not outsourcing strategic thinking. You can articulate āthis decision needs a humanā vs. āthis should be automatedā
Delivery
- Write concise user stories and acceptance criteria grounded in real business use cases
- Follow agile-ceremony cadence (planning, estimation, retro, standup)
- Work closely with product development and QA to prioritize, review work, accept work and iterate as a squad
Requirements
Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a Bachelorās degree?, * BA/BS degree or 2 - 5 years or more of equivalent experience.
- Strong preference for someone with a Parcel/Freight Audit and Pay/Logistics background.
- Preference for experience in Software Product Management or Business Analyst Role.
- Empathy and an insatiable curiosity for the user experience, driven to solve customer needs.
- Thrive in environments where you are balancing different perspectives and competing priorities.
- An ability to collaborate and defend or modify your position as the situation dictates.
- A technical aptitude with business savvy. An ability to speak both languages.
- Conveying complex issues in a simple manner in both oral and a variety of written modes is essential.
