SAP ABAP AMS Lead

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking an SAP ABAP AMS Lead on behalf of our client in Mundelein, IL. This role is ideal for a highly skilled SAP ABAP professional with strong Application Management Services (AMS) experience and deep expertise in SAP production and warehouse integration environments. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting, enhancing, and optimizing SAP ABAP solutions while ensuring operational stability and seamless business process integration. Key Responsibilities AMS Delivery & Support

• Lead SAP ABAP AMS delivery to ensure high-quality technical support and operational excellence.
• Manage incident, problem, change, and release activities in alignment with ITIL practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions for recurring technical issues.
• Ensure performance, stability, and maintainability of SAP custom developments and enhancements.
• Collaborate effectively with offshore and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and support.

SAP ABAP Development & Enhancements

• Design, develop, and support SAP ABAP solutions across:

• Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (WRICEF)
• CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-based developments
• User Exits, BAdIs, and Implicit/Explicit Enhancements
• SmartForms and Adobe Forms
• Deliver bug fixes, technical enhancements, and continuous system improvements.

Integration & Technical Expertise

• Develop and support integrations using:

• IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs
• OData Services and SAP Gateway
• APIs and third-party system integrations
• Troubleshoot and optimize integration performance across enterprise systems.

SAP PP & EWM Integration (Required)

• Provide technical expertise in SAP PP and SAP EWM integration from an ABAP perspective.
• Support enhancements, user exits, and BAdIs related to production planning and warehouse management processes.
• Troubleshoot and debug PP/EWM-related technical issues and interfaces.
• Support data extraction, conversions, and integration touchpoints involving PP/EWM processes.

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP with AMS support and operations.
• Proven expertise in SAP PP and SAP EWM integration.
• Experience with performance optimization, code quality, and SAP best practices.
• Ability to manage production support, enhancements, and continuous technical improvements.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with onsite collaboration in Mundelein, IL
