Job description

The role: We are seeking a Data Insight Analyst to support the Empty Homes transformation programme and ongoing performance management activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with operational stakeholders to understand business processes, review existing reporting and develop new insight-led reporting solutions to improve performance.

The role involves working with data primarily sourced from NEC Housing Management systems, transformed through Azure Data Bricks and reported through Power BI dashboards.

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, commercially aware and comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders across the business.

Experience within housing or empty homes performance reporting would be highly beneficial., * Deliver accurate and timely performance reporting.

  • Analyse operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Build effective working relationships across departments.
  • Support continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards.
  • Translate complex data into user-friendly insight and commentary.
  • Support ongoing reporting and dashboard development within Power BI.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VBA?, * Experience working with housing, social housing, lettings, voids or empty homes data.

  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain data clearly to non-technical users.
  • Experience using NEC Housing Management systems.
  • Good Power BI, Excel and SQL skills.
  • Ability to analyse performance data and provide practical business insights.
  • Confident working with operational teams and presenting findings., * Previous experience in a Data Analyst or Insight Analyst role.
  • Experience working within housing, social housing, empty homes or lettings environments.
  • Strong Power BI and Excel skills.
  • Ability to write SQL queries.
  • Experience analysing large and complex datasets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Experience using NEC Housing Management systems.
  • Experience with Azure Data Bricks.
  • Understanding of performance management reporting.
  • Experience with PowerApps, PowerAutomate, DAX or VBA.
  • Experience within transformation or change programmes.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
