Job description

The Specialist, IT Technical Support will report to the Director, End User Support Services. This position is designated as in-person which requires employees to be in the physical office five days per week., As a key member of EEI’s Information Technology department, the Specialist, IT Technical Support, provides hands-on technical support for staff, works closely with EEI’s third-party vendors to address technology issues, and maintains the cores system in an advanced trade-association environment. This role is integral in delivering reliable IT infrastructure and support across daily operations and events. The Specialist, IT Technical Support, reports to the Director, End User Support and is a member of the IT department.

Other important responsibilities of the Specialist, IT Technical Support, include:

  • Technical User Support
  • Deliver onsite support to EEI staff and troubleshoot technical issues via internal tickets and Customer Care channels.
  • Configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS/Android), printers, and network peripherals for new hires, existing staff, and temporary personnel.
  • Device and Network Maintenance
  • Maintain inventory of hardware, ensure software license compliance, and manage backups.
  • Maintain hardware and device databases; review daily backup logs and adjust as needed
  • Assist in generating and updating technical documentation, knowledgebase articles, and asset reports.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain ticket backlog, responsible for meeting Support SLAs, escalation and priority guidelines.
  • Assist in generating and updating technical documentation, knowledgebase articles, and asset reports.
  • Additional IT Responsibilities
  • Handle ad hoc IT tasks assigned by supervisor
  • Continuously collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and external service teams to resolve issues

Requirements

Do you have experience in Computer science?, * Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field. Equivalent work experience is accepted.

  • 4-6 years of experience administering Microsoft Windows and Office 365 cloud environments, managing at least 100 AD user accounts.
  • Experience configuring and supporting backup systems.
  • Strong experience with Exchange / Office 365 administration, and security tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Familiarity with additional collaboration tools or cloud platforms.
  • Strong hardware and device setup skills across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and VoIP phones.

  • Wellness program, The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of the base salary.
