Job description

This role involves being the first point of contact for issues and requests related to our IT infrastructure and services and will be important in helping to deliver improvements in those areas.

There are two aspects to the role - reactive and proactive:

· Reacting in a timely, helpful, and professional way to technical challenges as they arise, with an emphasis on personal service.

· Proactively building on experiences from meeting those challenges to help shape service improvements, e.g., by highlighting areas where training, systems, or documentation could drive improvement.

The main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

· Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose, and solve hardware/software incidents/problems.

· Provide solutions / workarounds to incidents and problems.

· Install new software and hardware and ensure latest software upgrades are implemented.

· Setup equipment such as laptops, mobile devices, headsets, printers, and other equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating safely and correctly.

· Assist in creating and maintaining user accounts and mailboxes.

· Assist in Office 365 Administration and Microsoft Endpoint Administration (Intune).

· Travelling to different company sites.

· Assist in planning and implementing changes to elements of the IT service as required.

· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, and licences.

· Review of services, application delivery, patching, and Anti-Virus

· Assist in creating a structured approach to rolling out new hardware and software.

· Contribute to polices, processes, and procedures

· Keep up to date with advancements in technology

You will report to the IT Manager, who reports to the Chief Executive Officer, who reports to the Managing Director.

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
