IT Assistant

The IT Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with hardware and software setup, maintaining systems, and providing first-line support to staff to ensure smooth and efficient business operations., * Provide first-line technical support to employees (in person, phone, or remote)

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
• Assist with user account setup, access permissions, and password resets
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Support the maintenance of IT systems, servers, and network infrastructure
• Set up and support new employee workstations and equipment
• Assist in managing software updates, patches, and antivirus protection
• Maintain accurate IT documentation and asset registers
• Support backups and data recovery processes
• Escalate complex technical issues to IT Support (IT Desk)
• Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and system implementations
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting

• Familiarity with Windows/Mac operating systems
• Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time-management skills, * Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are an advantage
