Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Magento PHP Developer to join our growing team in a fully remote capacity.

This role suits someone who is genuinely comfortable working across Magento backend, APIs, and Hyvä-based frontends, and who enjoys solving real-world eCommerce problems rather than just shipping features.

You’ll be involved across the full development lifecycle - from technical discovery and implementation through to optimisation and support - working closely with other developers, project managers, and stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining custom Magento modules and integrations
  • Building and extending Hyvä-based frontends using Tailwind and Alpine.js
  • Designing, consuming and building integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
  • Optimising Magento stores for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Working with Git-based workflows and collaborating via pull requests
  • Contributing to technical decisions and improving internal standards
  • Supporting and enhancing existing client platforms

Requirements

Do you have experience in REST?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Essential experience:

  • Strong commercial experience with Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce.
  • Proven experience developing with the Hyvä frontend framework.
  • High level of competence with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Solid PHP and Magento architectural knowledge.
  • Experience building bespoke themes and custom modules.
  • Performance optimisation experience (frontend and backend).
  • Confident using Git for version control.
  • Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
  • Clear written communication skills and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Adobe Commerce or Hyvä certification
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Knowledge of GDPR and PCI DSS compliance
  • Agency background or experience working across multiple client projects
  • Exposure to complex ERP or third-party system integrations, * Bachelor’s (preferred), * Magento PHP Developer: 2 years (required)
