Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL, Oracle, and PL/SQL development to support critical business applications and data initiatives within a leading financial services organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions in asset management, investment management, capital markets, or banking environments., * Design, develop, test, and maintain Oracle database solutions.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting, analytics, and operational processes.
Develop and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.
Analyze and troubleshoot database performance issues and implement optimization strategies.
Support data integration, transformation, and validation processes.
Collaborate with business users, analysts, and application development teams to gather and understand requirements.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to database development best practices.
Assist in production support activities, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
Create and maintain technical documentation for database objects and processes.
Participate in database design discussions and data modeling activities.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on Database Development experience.
Strong expertise in Oracle Database and PL/SQL development.
Advanced SQL programming and query optimization skills.
Experience developing Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, and Triggers.
Strong understanding of database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Experience with data modeling and relational database concepts.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Management, Capital Markets, or Banking.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and databases.
Familiarity with data warehousing and reporting solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
