Job description

  • We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Security Engineer to join the Professional Services team of a global IT solutions provider.

  • This role is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network/server environments, and customer-facing technical support.

  • The position will support enterprise clients by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT environments, including endpoint security, network security, vulnerability management, and managed security services.

  • The ideal candidate is technically curious, service-minded, and comfortable working directly with clients, vendors, and internal teams in both Japanese and English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments for corporate clients and help design appropriate security systems, processes, and solutions.

  • Build, maintain, upgrade, and support security technologies, including log analysis tools, endpoint security, network security, SASE, EDR, and vulnerability assessment tools.

  • Provide technical consultation and recommendations to clients based on security best practices, business needs, and current market trends.

  • Support both pre-sales and post-sales technical projects, including solution planning, implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot security-related systems, servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure remotely and on-site.

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support the planning and implementation of new cybersecurity products and services.

  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal project members to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on schedule.

  • Prepare work records, project records, troubleshooting reports, proposals, presentations, and operation manuals as needed.

  • Research new products, security trends, and emerging technologies to support customer needs and service improvement.

  • Provide timely updates to project leaders and management regarding project status, technical issues, and troubleshooting progress.

  • Support existing customer accounts by resolving technical security issues and maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in business trips and on-site customer support as required.

  • Provide on-call support for critical incidents as needed; this is not a full shift-duty position.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WAN?, 2-3+ years of IT security or infrastructure experience preferred., * Fluent Japanese and English communication skills required.

  • 2-3+ years of experience in IT security, network/server engineering, infrastructure support, or a related technical role preferred.

  • Hands-on experience or strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Endpoint security, Network security, Log analysis, SASE, EDR, Vulnerability assessment tools, MSP or MSSP operations, Secure configuration standards such as CIS Benchmarks.

  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Unix/Linux, virtualization, storage, LAN/WAN technologies, and general IT infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with products and devices from major vendors such as Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar technologies.

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically and communicate solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong documentation, reporting, and project coordination skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.

  • Customer-service mindset and willingness to learn new technologies., * IT Security hands-on: 2 years (Required)
