Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Linux Administrator to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our systems. Your expertise will drive the seamless operation of our IT environment, supporting a variety of applications and services critical to our business operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including virtualization, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture, in a fast-paced and collaborative setting., * Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems across physical and virtual environments, including distributions such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux

  • Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize resource utilization and ensure system stability
  • Manage storage solutions with RAID controllers and implement data protection strategies aligned with enterprise standards
  • Design and deploy scalable system architectures utilizing cloud services like AWS and Azure, integrating solutions such as Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Shell Scripting to streamline system administration tasks and support DevOps practices
  • Configure and manage network components including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network security protocols to safeguard infrastructure
  • Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and manage virtual machines (VMs) for efficient resource utilization
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports in line with ITIL/ITSM best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solution architecture projects involving microservices, RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in Linux system administration within enterprise environments with a strong understanding of operating systems including UNIX and Windows integration

  • Hands-on knowledge of system architecture design principles for scalable and secure IT infrastructure solutions
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for deploying microservices-based applications
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), Python, or PowerShell to automate routine tasks
  • Experience managing databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL in high-availability configurations
  • Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancing techniques, firewalls, and network security best practices
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git version control systems, CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration/deployment workflows
  • Ability to implement information security measures aligned with industry standards to protect sensitive data and infrastructure assets
  • Familiarity with solution architecture principles using Service-oriented architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs, microservices architecture models
  • Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), VMware VCP (VMware Certified Professional), AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly desirable
