Job description

  • Testing new computer setups and images
  • Creating instructional technical documents
  • Manage all district printers
  • Manage print queues on print servers and Papercut server
  • Manage File-Maker Pro database
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Work with vendors to install and test new releases
  • Educate users on new software releases
  • Provide documentation and education on software to new employees
  • Analyze software support processes to suggest improvements
  • Perform regular monitoring and maintenance to company databases
  • Provide end-user support and respond to work orders as needed
  • Manage user access for Daktronics Marquee Boards for campuses
  • Maintain static databases and DHCP reservations for various devices (printers, streaming devices, Timeclocks)
  • Perform testing for new enhancements within software
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Industry trends and technologies
  • Keep wireless instructions up to date and test connection to Wi-Fi network on personal and company devices
  • Assist Systems Administrators with domain-level support
  • Cross-training with the Web Applications Administrator

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Cloud-based systems?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, + High School Diploma or GED

  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Preference for applicants with Information Technology certifications SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Configuration and management of web applications implemented in the district, local and cloud
  • Understanding of LDAP authentication methods in a domain environment
  • Experience with Active Directory with a strong understanding of policy based inheritance
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, software, and networking
  • Strong understanding of Windows print server services and third-party print management solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve OS related issues efficiently
  • Database management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to translate tech-heavy concepts to non-technical users EXPERIENCE:

  • Windows Server Print Queue Management
  • Active Directory
  • Database management
  • Managing web application access
  • Device management in a domain environment
  • Technical writing experience
  • Various printing management applications (PaperCut, HP, Brother, Xerox, Ricoh), + Ability to work in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a high degree of professionalism
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including occasional prolonged and irregular hours
  • Able to solve complex problems with tight deadlines
  • Communicating well in both oral and written form, complying with timelines Physical demands/environmental factors:

  • Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds
  • Seeing close work such as typed or handwritten material
