IT Director of Infrastructure - Tennessee Based

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all information technology functions.
• Partner with VP of Operations to develop and implement IT strategy and policies.
• Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, incident response, and HIPAA compliance.
• Manage IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and endpoints.
• Serve as backup technical support for the System Administrator during absences, escalations, or critical incidents.
• Define escalation paths, standards, and responsibilities for IT operations.
• Lead vendor management and the transition from external MSPs to internal IT operations.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure technology supports operational efficiency, security, and organizational growth.

Technical Research & Development

• Lead technical research and development efforts to evaluate emerging technologies that may benefit the organization.
• Explore, assess, and pilot innovative solutions, including but not limited to artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and data analytics tools.
• Ensure new technologies are evaluated for cybersecurity risk, HIPAA compliance, ethical use, and alignment with organizational policy.
• Collaborate with VP of Operations to recommend responsible adoption of advanced technologies that improve efficiency, quality, security, and decision-making.
• Develop governance frameworks, usage guidelines, and staff education related to emerging technologies, including AI.
• Other duties and/or tasks as assigned.

Do you have experience in User training (technical support)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field required.

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in information technology, including leadership or senior technical roles.
• Experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and compliance-driven environments required, certification(s) preferred.
• Healthcare, behavioral health, or non-profit experience strongly preferred.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Knowledge of healthcare technology laws, regulations, and best practices related to HIPAA and HITECH.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and incident response.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud services, endpoint management, and system administration.
• Ability to design and enforce IT policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to train and support technical staff and end users.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to adapt to change and perform under stressful situations.
