Job description

Job Title: DB Automation Tester Designation: Senior QA Automation Engineer Location: Mph- Client Site, New York, US Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DB Automation Tester with expertise in UFT (Unified Functional Testing) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in building out our Genesys Infomart automation bed, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through effective test automation strategies. This position requires a strong understanding of database testing and automation frameworks, along with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions. Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using UFT for database applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand application functionalities.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Participate in test planning and strategy discussions to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Document test cases, test results, and defect reports in a clear and concise manner.
Provide training and support to team members on automation best practices and tools.

Requirements

Proficiency in test automation using QTP/UFT.
Strong knowledge of database testing concepts and SQL.
Experience in developing and executing automated test scripts for complex applications.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Genesys Infomart or similar platforms.
Knowledge of other automation tools and frameworks.
Understanding of performance testing and load testing concepts.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in software testing or automation are a plus.
