Job description
We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our engineering and product team as we build and scale the SitePoint platform. This is a key role in a high functioning team at a moment of growth.
This role spans engineering and product team responsibilities. It reports directly to the president of the Kinsman division. You will lead an existing team of three and oversee the continued implementation of our mobile application development (Flutter) and the cloud services and infrastructure that support it. You will help design and implement a seamless, end-to-end product that empowers earthworks contractors with state-of-the-art GNSS RTK and INS measurement solutions.
This dynamic role is reflective of the evolving team and process changes that have come from AI. It requires a collaborative and multidisciplinary leader who has deep technical expertise as well as great people and product skills. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership and thrives in early-stage settings.

- Work with existing development and product team members to further build out team processes that balance speed and quality of feature development effectively
- Translate user needs into effective technical solutions
- Upgrade and formalize existing software engineering processes (CI/CD, Scrum/Kanban)
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate based on real-world user feedback
- Leverage modern tools-including AI-assisted development workflows-to improve speed and code quality
Mobile Application Development (Flutter)
- Design, develop, and maintain core features of the SitePoint mobile application using Flutter
- Build intuitive, high-performance user experiences for real-world, field-based workflows
- Develop and optimize map-based functionality (e.g., positioning, geospatial visualization, GPS integration)
Backend & Cloud Systems
- Design, build, and maintain cloud-based services and infrastructure supporting the mobile application
- Develop APIs and backend services for real-time data, device communication, and system integration
- Implement and manage user provisioning, authentication, and account management systems
System Architecture & Integration
- Lead architectural decisions across mobile and cloud environments
- Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver tightly integrated solutions
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across the full system
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems integration?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * BS or MS in computer science, engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong experience in mobile development
- Experience building applications with Flutter (or strong willingness to adopt quickly)
- Experience designing and building backend systems and APIs
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern infrastructure practices
- Experience implementing authentication and user provisioning systems (e.g., OAuth, identity management, role-based access)
- Strong design implementation skills to deliver modern consumer-facing software
- Strong understanding of system architecture across client and server
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across disciplines
- Experience building full-stack systems in small teams
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, early-stage environment with evolving requirements
- Experience working with real-time or sensor-driven data
- Familiarity with modern AI tools (e.g., code assistants, AI-powered workflows) and willingness to incorporate them into development processes
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Preferred Experience
- Experience with map-based or geospatial applications (e.g., GPS, mapping SDKs, location tracking)
- Background in construction technology, machine control, IoT, or related domains
- Experience working with hardware-integrated applications or Bluetooth-connected devices
- Familiarity with precision positioning (e.g., RTK GPS) or spatial computing
