Job description
Position SummaryWe are looking for an energetic Field Systems Technician to join our team at Greystone Systems Inc. In this role, you will work directly with our business clients to install, set up, and fix their tech systems. You will handle a mix of IP networking, VoIP phone setups, and physical security tools. This role requires daily local travel to customer locations using a company-provided vehicle.Key Duties
- On-Site Installation: Travel to customer sites to mount, wire, and set up physical security cameras, access control systems, and network gear.
- Network & Telecom Setup: Configure basic IP networks, routers, switches, and business VoIP phone systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix hardware, wiring, and connectivity issues both in the field and remotely.
- Client Relations: Walk clients through their new systems and answer questions with a friendly, helpful attitude.
- Vehicle & Inventory Care: Keep the company vehicle clean, safe, and stocked with the right tools and parts for daily jobs.
- Documentation: Keep clean records of client setups, work orders, and parts used.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Company vehicle operation?, * Technical Skills: Basic understanding of IP networking (IP addresses, routers, switches) and low-voltage wiring.
- Hardware Experience: Familiarity with installing security cameras (CCTV/IP), door locks, or phone systems.
- Travel Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to operate the company vehicle.
- Soft Skills: Great problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn new technologies quickly.
- Experience: 0-3 years of experience in IT support, telecom, or security integration (we are willing to train the right person!).
