Job description

Seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to support Fraud Technology initiatives within a large financial services environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-scale backend applications, APIs, and event-driven services.

Project Details:

  • Develop and maintain backend applications within the fraud space.
  • Build REST and SOAP web services.
  • Work with Kafka, MQ, and distributed systems.
  • Support cloud and container-based modernization efforts.
  • Perform unit testing, production support, troubleshooting, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Web services design?, * 5-7+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.

  • Strong Core Java and Java 17 expertise.
  • Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Integration.
  • REST and SOAP web services.
  • Kafka and MQ messaging technologies.
  • Strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL Server).
  • Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Cloud and container technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure).
  • Financial services or large enterprise experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to complete a hands-on coding assessment without AI assistance.

Desired Skills

  • Cassandra and NoSQL databases.
  • Angular or React exposure.
  • JUnit, Sonar, and Crucible.
  • Splunk, Dynatrace, IntelliJ, Eclipse, and Autosys.
  • Prior banking experience.
  • Kubernetes/OpenShift expertise.
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
