Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer to join our innovative IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure to support our organization’s operations. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, optimal security, and high availability across diverse environments including data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise networks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of scalable network solutions that drive business success., * Design, deploy, and manage complex network architectures including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), and SD-WAN solutions to ensure reliable connectivity across multiple sites.

  • Configure and maintain network security devices such as Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and encryption protocols like IPsec and SSL to safeguard organizational data.
  • Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Splunk; perform vulnerability assessments; and implement remediation strategies to enhance security posture.
  • Support data center operations by managing SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), VMware vSphere environments, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Automate network provisioning, configuration management, and system updates using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, and automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network installation projects, system administration tasks, and troubleshooting efforts to ensure optimal network support for all users.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, policies, and procedures aligned with ITIL best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, * Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP; network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; and concepts of high availability and load balancing.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment including routers, switches, Meraki devices; Juniper or other vendors’ hardware is a plus.
  • Familiarity with operating systems like Linux (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), BSD variants, Windows Server environments; experience with system administration is essential.
  • Proficiency in cloud security practices involving AWS or Azure; experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Citrix is highly desirable.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell; experience with automation frameworks like Ansible for network management tasks.
  • Knowledge of network security measures including SSO (Single Sign-On), LDAP integration, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), TLS/SSL encryption standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform vulnerability assessments using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; familiarity with NFS (Network File System) and SAN management is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional), CompTIA Network+, CISSP or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
