Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Network Engineer with Cloud NT (MS) expertise to join my client by client base project team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures that support our domestic operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring seamless connectivity across on-premises and cloud environments, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance security, performance, and scalability. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about advancing network solutions, this position is perfect for you!, * Design, deploy, and manage complex network architectures including LAN, WAN, data centers, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.

  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices including Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Meraki access points, Juniper devices, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Implement and monitor network security protocols using Cisco ISE, PKI certificates, VPNs (IPsec), SSL/TLS encryption, IDS/IPS systems, and firewall policies to safeguard organizational data.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform regular network audits utilizing tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, PRTG, and SolarWinds to ensure high availability and security compliance.
  • Automate network management tasks using scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, and configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Support remote access solutions including VPNs, SFTP, SSH, remote desktop software, and telecommunication systems to enable secure connectivity for distributed teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture using GPOs, DHCP configurations, DNS records, LDAP integrations, and system administration procedures aligned with ITIL best practices.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows support?, * Proven experience in computer networking with a strong understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP; network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP; and subnetting concepts.

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking equipment (routers/switches), Cisco ASA firewalls, Meraki products, Juniper devices; along with experience in data center environments utilizing VMware vSphere or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices on AWS and Azure platforms; including virtual networks (VPCs), load balancing solutions, high availability configurations, and DevOps integration.
  • Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server/Client OS (Windows 10/Server), Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS), openSUSE BSD variants; along with system administration skills.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Bash or PowerShell for automation; experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; knowledge of vulnerability assessment techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to support network installation projects from planning through deployment while adhering to SDLC methodologies.
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional), CCIE preferred; familiarity with ITIL framework is a plus.
