Career Start is seeking multiple Data Collection Specialists to work onsite in Auburn, NY.
The Data Collection Specialist is responsible for securely retrieving, compiling, and organizing Protected Health Information (PHI) from the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role supports operational and reporting initiatives by generating HIPAA-compliant reports and exporting data into Excel and other required formats.
Pay of Data Collection Specialist: $20/hr
Shift: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM
Responsibilities of Data Collection Specialist:
· Retrieve and export assigned data and reports from the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system into Excel and other required formats
· Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and proper organization of exported files
· Handle all PHI/ePHI in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational confidentiality policies
· Maintain secure file storage and follow standardized naming conventions and folder structures
· Report any suspected confidentiality or data security concerns immediately
Requirements
Do you have experience in Standard operating procedures (SOPs)?, · Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
· Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
· Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Excellent organizational and file management abilities
· Ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions effectively
