Job description

Own the mobile experience for a fintech app serving an underserved community. You’ll shape the product roadmap, translate design into production code, and keep our component library sharp so we can ship fast without breaking things. Our stack is React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and GraphQL - built on trunk-based development with fast iteration cycles.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and ship features across payments, banking, KYC, and authentication flows, working directly with product, design, and backend teams.
  • Define and enforce frontend patterns, tooling, and processes that raise the quality bar and speed delivery.
  • Own observability and testing for core mobile flows - you’ll be the person who catches regressions before users do.
  • Evolve our design system and component library for consistency at scale.
  • Partner with leadership on architecture decisions and technical roadmap.

Requirements

Do you have experience in iOS?, * Comfortable owning technical decisions end-to-end in a fast-moving startup where the right answer isn’t always obvious.

  • Experienced debugging hard problems across mobile, API, and native layers.
  • Fluent in trade-offs - you can explain why something is the right call, not just that it works.

Requirements

  • Strong React Native and TypeScript production experience - you’ve written components other people depend on.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining iOS and Android apps through the App Store and Google Play.
  • Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, testing, and mobile performance.
  • Experience with GraphQL in a production codebase.
  • Proven track record in fintech, financial services, or a similarly regulated, high-uptime environment.
  • Comfortable with secrets management, CI/CD pipelines, and working in a codebase with pre-commit hooks and automated code review.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with KYC, remittances, or payment flows.
  • Familiarity with Expo’s managed vs. bare workflow trade-offs.
  • Prior work on observability tooling (Datadog or similar) for mobile.
