Job description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer reporting to a Project Manager to assist in the smooth running of Defence Contracts; this is a permanent role with the initial project lasting 3 to 5 years.
The Project is an Official Sensitive Defence Naval contract. The successful candidate will need to work with the Project Manager and the Design Manager (System Design Authority), coordinating with customers, suppliers, external bodies as well as the AMP Power Protection senior management team., * System design: Developing system specifications and requirements, creating system architecture, and defining system interfaces.
- Technical oversight: Overseeing the implementation of the system, including hardware, software, and electrical components.
- Verification and validation: Ensuring that the system meets customer requirements through testing and validation processes.
- Risk management: Identifying and managing technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical documentation: Preparing technical reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate system design and results.
- Support and maintenance: Providing technical support to customers and end-users and maintaining system documentation.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and policies, such as ITAR and Export Control.
- Management support: Supporting the development and management requirements specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme
- Managing requirements: Capturing, analysing, decomposing and managing system requirements, ensuring full traceability from customer need through design, implementation and verification.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, * Degree level qualification within a STEM field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a similar role in this or closely related to MOD/naval contracts
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices and the correct recognition of the context of their work within the overall product an academic basis underpinning the discipline
- Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the phase relevant to the role and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and practices
- Experienced in using Inventor/AutoCAD software
- Successful candidates must hold a British or Dual British passport
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo DBS and BPSS checks., * STEM Field : 1 year (required)
- MOD/naval contracts: 1 year (preferred)
