Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead project delivery efforts in support of a state-of-the-art transit program in the Seattle area., The Project Manager leads integrated project delivery across a portfolio of State of Good Repair (SOGR) and capital projects. The PM is responsible for planning, budget management, schedule oversight, and stakeholder coordination. This individual will function as an extension of client staff and serve as the primary point of accountability for assigned projects from initiation through closeout., * Lead and manage construction and engineering projects from initiation through closeout.

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, scopes, schedules, and quality control plans.
  • Oversee subcontractor and consultant performance; ensure contract compliance.
  • Coordinate with client program staff, design teams, inspectors, and field personnel.
  • Identify and manage project risks; implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, forecasts, and change management documentation.
  • Utilize project management information systems including Kahua, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Support economic development compliance and coordination as required by the program.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Team leadership?, * Minimum of 5 years of experience leading construction or engineering projects.

  • Experience with transit systems, public works, or public agency capital programs preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage project budgets, scopes, and schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with Kahua, AutoCAD, or Primavera P6 preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

  • Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-AICP, or DBIA.
  • Prior experience with Sound Transit or similar regional transit authority.
  • Background in Small Works and/or Job Order Contracting (JOC) delivery methods.
