Job description

We are seeking for a Cloud Engineering Ops Lead (AWS + Application Support) to ensure AWS platforms and customer-facing applications are highly available, observable, secure, recoverable, and cost-efficient. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage AWS operations including EC2, EKS, RDS, ALB/CloudFront, IAM/OIDC, and networking (VPC, TGW, Security Groups)
  • Support application releases including readiness checks, smoke testing, and rollback strategies
  • Build and maintain observability systems (dashboards, logs, metrics, traces, alerts)
  • Own backup and disaster recovery including policies, retention, cross-region replication, and restore testing
  • Lead incident management (Sev-1/2), ensuring clear communication and effective resolution
  • Drive cost optimization through tagging, right-sizing, RI/SP coverage, and lifecycle management
  • Develop runbooks, automate repetitive tasks, and improve operational efficiency
  • Maintain security best practices including least-privilege access and credential rotation
  • Ensure production readiness and stability across AWS environments

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in cloud and application operations
  • Strong hands-on expertise in AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, CloudFront, IAM, VPC)
  • Experience in monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning and validation
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and infrastructure design
  • Experience leading incidents and managing production environments

Preferred Skills

  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification
  • Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP or equivalent)
  • ITIL Certification

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
