Job description
We’re looking for a CRM Consultant to work closely with charities and nonprofit organisations to design, configure, and optimise CRM systems that support their operations and growth.
This is a hybrid role combining stakeholder management, business analysis, and hands-on system configuration. You will work closely with charities and their internal teams to understand existing systems and processes, then help design and migrate them into a new CRM such as BeaconCRM. The majority of the work will involve CRM migrations and system transitions, alongside improving processes and ensuring organisations get the most value from their CRM.
We are more interested in strong transferable skills and mindset than experience with any single CRM platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with charity stakeholders to understand organisational needs, challenges, and goals
- Facilitate discussions across departments, managing differing priorities and resolving conflicts where needed
- Translate business requirements into practical CRM solutions
- Configure CRM systems (fields, objects, workflows, basic automations) using platform tools
- Analyse and improve existing processes and data workflows
- Support data migration and integration tasks such as CSV imports and data mapping between systems
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams
- Provide guidance and best practice on CRM usage within a nonprofit context Support testing, rollout, and user adoption
Requirements
Do you have experience in Data management?, Full-time, remote-first with hybrid access to Manor Royal, West Sussex (local candidates preferred). Applicants must be a UK resident., Essential:
- Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics, BeaconCRM, or similar
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to gather, structure, and prioritise requirements
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to navigate team dynamics and organisational politics
- Experience configuring systems without heavy coding such as fields, workflows, and basic automation
- Comfortable working with data including CSV files, imports, and data mapping
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with BeaconCRM
- Experience working within or supporting charities or nonprofit organisations
- Experience working across departments such as fundraising, finance, and events
Also Valuable (Transferable Backgrounds We’re Open To):
We recognise this role can come from a range of backgrounds. We would especially welcome candidates who have:
- Worked in a charity in an operational, systems, or IT-focused role
- Experience supporting or administering internal systems
- Project Owner or Product Owner experience
- Strong understanding of how different teams within an organisation operate and interact
- Practical, hands-on experience working with data
Location & Working Style
- Remote-first role
- Access to an office in Manor Royal, West Sussex for hybrid working if preferred
- Ideally based within reasonable travelling distance for occasional in-person collaboration, * Charity: 2 years (required)
Benefits & conditions
- £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
- 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)
