Job description

  • Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,876 and EUR 8,395 (scale 10) for a 36-hour work week.
  • Extras: a thirteenth month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% Employee Benefit Budget.

Our area ‘‘Adherence’’ refers to mandatory compliance, risk, and security processes that keep the bank safe and secure. Our vision is to embed adherence seamlessly into the engineering and product journey, improving efficiency, transparency, and developer experience without compromising on control.

As a Product Owner within Area Adherence, you will play a key role in shaping and scaling the Adherence Data Platform that powers Nexa Actions and Nexa Insights, and in enabling straight-through onboarding (STP) for adherence topics across the Nexa ecosystem.

Your Area & Team

You will be part of a broader area consisting of Product Owners, Tech Leads, Solution Architects, and over 80 engineers, working together to support thousands of developers across Rabobank.

Team Calypso is responsible for:

  • The Adherence Data Platform supplying Nexa Actions and Nexa Insights
  • Straight-Through Processing (STP) for onboarding adherence topics owned by different teams
  • Ensuring data quality, reliability, and consumption readiness for downstream products
  • Our services support 8,000+ engineers globally, making this role highly visible and impactful.

You & your role

  • As Product Owner, you are end-to-end accountable for the product vision, roadmap, prioritization, and outcomes of the Adherence Data Platform and STP onboarding flows. You focus on adoption and value, not just delivery.
  • Shape the product vision and roadmap aligned with Area strategy and priorities
  • Balance platform scalability with ease of adoption for topic owners and consumers
  • Navigate a complex stakeholder landscape across Nexa products, topic owners, architecture, and compliance
  • Drive standardization while allowing for domain-specific needs

You operate as part of the leadership of the area, working closely with the Squad Triangle (Tech Lead, Scrum Master, PO)

  • Decrease the compliancy burden for engineers by standardization and user-oriented tooling

Top responsibilities

  • Product & Platform Ownership
  • Define and evolve the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the Adherence Data Platform
  • Ensure high-quality, reliable, and compliant data supply to Nexa Actions and Nexa Insights
  • Own the STP onboarding process for adherence topics, enabling scalable and low-touch integration
  • Drive alignment between topic owners, Nexa products, and engineering teams

Value & Adoption

  • Focus on outcome-based success, such as adoption, usage, and value realized
  • Define and track KPIs related to usage, data quality, onboarding efficiency, and reliability
  • Continuously improve developer and topic-owner experience through feedback and metrics

Stakeholder Management

Act as the central point of alignment between relevant stakeholder groups

Clearly communicate priorities, trade-offs, and roadmap decisions

Build trust by delivering predictably and transparently

Ways of Working

  • Work closely with your Scrum Master and development team to maximize impact
  • Collaborate with architects to make sound design and scaling decisions
  • Create clarity in a complex landscape by simplifying processes and interfaces

The Product Owner Stance

  • The Influencer aligning multiple domains and stakeholders toward a shared direction
  • The Customer Representative representing topic owners, engineers, and consumers of Nexa data
  • You proactively guide stakeholders toward standardized, scalable solutions while maintaining strong relationships.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar value-driven role
  • A strong focus on adoption, outcomes, and measurable impact
  • Proven experience working with data platforms, APIs, or complex backend products
  • Confidence operating in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Experience with SCRUM and agile methodologies
  • The ability to translate ambiguity into clarity and direction
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience with compliance, risk, security, or platform products is a strong plus.
