Job description

To put it simply, you will provide administrative support for the IT Support Services team. THE ROLE When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Director of Support Services;
  • Organizing, receiving, and reconciling device deliveries (shipping coordination, intake, inventory validation, and distribution readiness in partnership with Support Services and campus teams);
  • Supporting device and license administration in Absolute including assignments, compliance checks, audits, and reporting to ensure accurate device visibility and readiness;
  • Managing T-Mobile accounts and mobile services, including account administration and coordination with the carrier, and handling distribution, tracking, and retrieval of YIP phones issued to staff;
  • Creating, maintaining, and continuously improving documentation, SOPs, and work instructions to enable consistent, repeatable support delivery across the department;
  • Maintaining training materials and onboarding resources and coordinating updates as processes, tools, and standards change;
  • Managing Support Services communications and change management by drafting updates, coordinating stakeholder messaging, and tracking adoption of new processes;
  • Assisting the IT Support Services Manager with maintaining the Service Desk knowledge base such as articles on known issues, workarounds, and standards;
  • Providing on-site support coverage as needed to maintain continuity when Field Service Technicians are unavailable;
  • Maintaining the Support Services SharePoint and external-facing campus support documents by keeping them organized, current, and easy to navigate;
  • Maintaining and updating the Device Readiness Playbook by coordinating with Academics and Schools teams to support assessment device readiness planning and execution;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • Associate’s degree
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant hardware, software, and end-user support tools
  • Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build positive working relationships in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and sound judgment under pressure
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to YES Prep campuses and work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
  • Openness to feedback and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth

THE NICE TO HAVES

  • 1+ year of experience in IT support, operational support, or technical administration
  • Experience coordinating projects, deployments, or process improvements
  • Experience working in a K-12 or multi-site support environment
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Project+, ITIL, or similar

* Paid Time Off - Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 15 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
