Job description

Valebase Systems is contracting motivated field service technicians to deliver on-site IT and hardware support to businesses across the Morgantown area. As the frontline technical expert at client sites, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and repair computer, networking, and point-of-sale hardware - keeping critical equipment running and delivering a professional customer experience on every visit. This is hands-on work across diverse environments, ideal for a reliable, self-directed contractor who takes ownership of a job from arrival to closeout with minimal supervision., * Travel to client sites to complete assigned work orders on schedule.

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related equipment.
  • Set up and service networking hardware including switches, routers, access points, and structured cabling.
  • Install and replace point-of-sale, banking, kiosk, and other business hardware.
  • Diagnose hardware and connectivity issues and clearly communicate solutions to on-site staff.
  • Perform light installation work such as mounting hardware and running low-voltage cabling as needed to complete the job.
  • Follow detailed service procedures and account-specific requirements while working independently and adhering to site safety standards.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and system configurations; complete job closeout accurately and on time.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing computer or POS hardware (preferred).

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Network infrastructure?, * Working knowledge of computer networking fundamentals - setup, configuration, and diagnostics.

  • Comfortable using hand tools and following schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and document work accurately.
  • Able to perform light physical tasks (mounting, drilling, cabling).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; willingness to travel between client sites., * CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
  • Prior field service, MSP, or dispatch experience.
  • Low-voltage cabling or IT/networking hardware experience., * Field service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • IT: 3 years (Preferred)
