Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Engineer/Scientist 1 to perform Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) functions on the Navy’s Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team. This position will be in Charleston, SC and will be an onsite position that typically requires 50% CONUS/OCONUS travel.

Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Responsible for design, development, and simulation of SysML Models based on the US Navy LF/VLF radio transmitters.

  • Responsible for requirements decomposition and traceability for legacy systems.

  • Responsible for the development of Structural/Behavior/Parametric models based on legacy systems.

  • Performs complex tasks relating to system operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site, and/or remote locations.

  • Gather technical requirements, conduct surveys and engage with clients, constructions crews, utility personnel, and various government departments.

  • Perform system level acceptance testing, and on-site troubleshooting; generate test procedures, reports, and redlines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience), + Clearance Required: must be able to obtain Secret

  • BS degree in Engineering (STEM) entry level.

  • Experience in MBSE; specifically using SysML (Cameo/MagicDraw). Working towards a OCSMP Level 1 Certification.

  • Requirements decomposition and traceability experience.

  • Experience in Structural/Behavior/Parametric modeling.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Strongly desired: OCSMP Level 1 Certification
