SAP Basis Infrastructure Support / Cloud

Troubleshoot middleware or interface failures between SAP ECC and connected systems.

Maintain system compliance, audit readiness, backup/recovery.

Triage infrastructure related tickets to separate application, database, network and user access issues.

Support monitoring dashboards, alert handling, or root cause analysis for recurring operational issues.

Database Administration & Operations (BR*Tools, monitoring, HA configurations)

Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity (RMAN, RTO/RPO, DR drills)

Performance Tuning (ST04, DB02, AWR, SQL optimization)

Patch Management & Change Control (ITIL/CAB-based)

Security & Compliance (STIG, FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)

SAP Landscape Support (system copies, R3load, HANA migration)

Incident & Problem Management (P1/P2 response, RCA, on-call)

2) SAP BASIS Cloud:

SAP System Administration

• Install, configure, and manage SAP systems (S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Fiori)
• Perform system refreshes, client copies, transports, and system copies
• Manage SAP user administration, roles, and authorizations
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot BASIS-level issues, and apply OSS notes/patches
• Manage SAP kernel and support package upgrades

Cloud Infrastructure

• Deploy and manage SAP systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP - e.g., RISE with SAP, SAP BTP)
• Configure and maintain cloud resources: VMs, storage, networking, load balancers, and backup solutions
• Implement cloud security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation
• Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency (right-sizing, reserved instances)

Database Administration

• Administer SAP HANA and/or other supported databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MaxDB)
• Perform HANA backup/recovery, system replication (HSR), and high availability (HA) configuration
• Monitor and tune database performance

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

• Design and maintain HA/DR solutions (HANA System Replication, Pacemaker clusters, Azure Site Recovery, etc.)
• Conduct DR failover testing and document RTO/RPO procedures

Change & Release Management

• Manage Transport Management System (TMS) and ChaRM processes
• Coordinate SAP upgrades, enhancement packs, and feature pack deployments
• Work with project teams during system migrations and go-lives

1) SAP BASIS Infrastructure Support:

SAP ECC infrastructure and environment stability in a sustainment or SI-Led program.

You must manage release configurations, transport sequencing, and environment coordination across DEV, QA and PROD.
