Job description

The Commercial HVAC Field Service Supervisor oversees daily service operations, provides technical leadership to field technicians, and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, technicians, dispatch, and company leadership while driving continuous improvement throughout the service department., Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and support commercial HVAC service technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance to field personnel.
  • Conduct monthly service team meetings.
  • Evaluate technician performance and implement development and improvement plans.
  • Coordinate and assign technician training opportunities.

Service Operations

  • Partner with dispatch to effectively schedule and distribute service requests and work orders.
  • Review work orders before and after completion to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist with complex HVAC and refrigeration installations, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Attend service-related planning and operational meetings.

Quality & Safety

  • Conduct field inspections to verify installations and repairs meet company quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Customer Relations

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for technical issues and customer concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through professional communication and responsive service.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective solutions.

Inventory, Equipment & Fleet Management

  • Collaborate with the fleet manager regarding service vehicle requirements and maintenance needs.
  • Assess and maintain appropriate inventory levels of tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Assist in estimating project requirements and ordering materials as needed.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial HVAC Field Service Supervisor to lead our service operations team and support the delivery of exceptional HVAC and refrigeration services to our customers.

  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
  • Minimum of 10 years of commercial HVAC experience, including refrigeration and air handling systems.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience within a commercial service environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred

  • Technical or trade school education in HVAC or a related field.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to work occasionally in extreme outdoor weather conditions.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
