Requirements

Do you have experience in Wireless network configuration?, *At least CCNA or CCNP is a must

*Very detailed job description and required skill set

*You must be a good fit skill set and professionally. *Core Focus: Strong L2-L7 understanding, routing/firewall/Wi-Fi integration, and Network Access Control (NAC).

Skills - Must Have

  • Layer 2, foundational Layer 3, and introductory Wi-Fi concepts. L2 switching (i.e. fully understand VLANs, tagging, trunking, AAA, Spanning Tree, etc.) and foundational knowledge of L3 networking

Skills - Nice to Have

  • Strong L2-L7 understanding, routing/firewall/Wi-Fi integration, and Network Access Control (NAC). Should have an in-depth understanding of L2 switching and a strong understanding of L3 through 7 networking, routing protocols, firewalls, WiFi and NAC.

Should have an in-depth understanding of L2 switching and a strong understanding of L3 through 7 networking, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), firewalls, Wi-Fi, and Network Access Control (NAC - for example ISE and/or CPPM). They should also have a basic understanding of more complex topics like VRFs, BGP, and MPLS.

Technical Skills

  • Layer 2 / Layer 3:
  • Advanced VLAN design and trunking
  • EtherChannel / LACP configuration
  • Advanced STP tuning (portfast, BPDU guard, root guard)
  • Advanced OSPF and EIGRP configuration and troubleshooting
  • Inter-VLAN routing and redundant gateways (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP)
  • Introductory VRF and route leaking concepts
  • Layer 4-7:
  • Firewall concepts (stateful inspection, NAT, ACLs)
  • Application layer troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS)
  • QoS basics (classification, marking, queuing)
  • Wi-Fi (Intermediate Level):
  • Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) configuration and management
  • Understanding of RF design (channel planning, power levels, interference)
  • Authentication and security (WPA2/3, 802.1X, RADIUS)
  • Basic wireless site survey concepts
  • Troubleshooting roaming, coverage, and throughput issues
  • Network Access Control (NAC):
  • Familiarity with Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, or similar
  • Device profiling and posture assessment basics
  • Role-based access policies and VLAN assignment
  • Emerging / Advanced Topics:
  • Intro to BGP and MPLS
  • VRFs and multi-tenant segmentation
  • SD-Access / SD-WAN fundamentals
