Job description

We are seeking a proactive and energetic Help Desk Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance, ensuring seamless operation of our computer systems and infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain optimal performance and delivering exceptional support to our users and fostering a productive work environment., We are looking for a Help Desk Technician to support our Texas operations, including locations in Pearland and Victoria. This role will provide hands-on technical support for local users while also assisting with overflow help desk requests from other company locations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable troubleshooting a wide range of IT issues including workstations, printers, phones, mobile devices, network connectivity, user accounts, and business applications. This position will work closely with the IT team based in Michigan and will serve as the primary on-site IT support resource for our Texas facilities., * Provide first level and hands-on technical support.

  • Assist with help desk tickets for users at other company locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, and general office technology.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, password resets, user access, and basic account administration.
  • Support network connectivity issues including wired and wireless connections, VPN access, and basic troubleshooting of switches, access points, and cabling.
  • Assist with setup, deployment, and replacement of computers, monitors, phones, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Provide support for business systems and applications, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate IT team member.
  • Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Coordinate with the Michigan based IT team on projects, upgrades, system changes, and escalated support needs.
  • Assist with maintaining IT inventory at the Texas locations.
  • Support conference rooms, video meetings, and other user-facing technology as needed.
  • Follow company IT policies, security procedures, and change management practices.
  • Travel between Pearland and Victoria locations as needed to provide support., This role will include a mix of office, shop, and production-area support. The technician may need to work at different Texas locations depending on business needs and may occasionally assist with after-hours support for planned projects or urgent issues., This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping users, and working in a hands-on IT environment. The position will be an important part of the company’s IT support structure and will help improve response times for our Texas locations while also supporting users across the organization.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, * 1-3 years of help desk, desktop support, or related IT experience preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows computers, Microsoft Office, printers, and general user technology.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addresses, Wi-Fi, switches, cabling, and VPN connections.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with users of varying technical skill levels.
  • Strong customer service skills and a willingness to help users resolve problems.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with a remote IT team.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to document work accurately.
  • Must be able to lift and move IT equipment such as desktops, monitors, printers, and network hardware.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between company locations in Texas.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or multi-location business environments.
  • Familiarity with VoIP phone systems, security cameras, door access systems, or mobile device support.
  • Experience using help desk ticketing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus, but are not required.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
