Senior Network Engineer

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Network Engineer that includes updating hardware required for maintenance of cloud, network, and telecommunication and any connectivity issues that could crop up, detecting system and application issues, and ensuring the smooth flow of data and voice throughout the organization. This position is remote but the network engineer must be willing to o onsite when needed.

• BLD - Bachelor’s Level Degree

• Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree

• 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree

• Cisco CCNP certification level (active or expired)

• There will be a lab test where they will have to perform layer2 and layer3 functions as well as have basic nexus switching knowledge to pass.

• Must have solid BGP routing experience as well as solid Cisco switch experience both nexus and catalyst required.

• Basic Nexus switching knowledge

• Must be willing to obtain a flu vaccine

• Must be willing to be on a rotation on call shift

• Requires the ability to go on-site to perform troubleshooting, installation, repair and replacement of physical networking equipment

• Valid Drivers License - Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive distances of greater than 100 miles/3 - 4 hours as required

• Be able to work in active construction sites with appropriate PPE

• Be able to perform basic physical tasks such as lifting 25 - 50lbs, occasional ladder use, reading, nimbleness of hands for typing and writing * Cisco/Fortinet Firewall experience

• Cisco Wireless and Juniper Mist Wireless experience

• Juniper Router configuration experience

• Cisco ISE experience (2.x/3.x)

Compensation: $50/hr to $72/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
