The Event Technology Producer is responsible for configuring, quality assuring, and supporting event technology solutions across in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings. This role builds meeting-specific technology on our proprietary platforms, executes live engagement tools, and supports real-time event delivery in collaboration with internal projects, production, and operations teams.
Event Technology Producers work across multiple platforms-including second screen technology, mobile event apps, virtual meeting platforms, and in-room engagement tools-ensuring accurate builds, reliable performance, and a high-quality attendee experience.
This role does NOT involve software development, programming, or coding. Candidates with engineering or developer-only backgrounds may not find this role aligned.
Key Responsibilities
Event Technology Build & Configuration
- Configure event-specific technology platforms based on meeting requirements, agendas, branding, and audience needs.
- Build and maintain mobile event app components including agendas, sessions, speaker profiles, content libraries, notifications, surveys, and gamification elements.
- Configure virtual platform components such as session access, engagement tools, content delivery, and user navigation.
- Prepare and support in-room engagement tools including polling, games, quizzes, Q&A, and live interaction workflows.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Perform thorough QA testing across assigned platforms to ensure accuracy, functionality, and consistency.
- Validate user access, navigation paths, session flow, and engagement features prior to live events.
- Identify, document, and resolve issues proactively; escalate risks or blockers in a timely manner.
- Maintain clear version control and documentation throughout the build lifecycle
Live Event Production & Support
- Support live virtual and onsite meetings, including launching and moderating engagement tools in real time.
- Monitor platform performance during live sessions and respond quickly to technical issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support run-of-show timing, session transitions, and engagement execution.
- Provide prompt support to attendees with platform issues
Collaboration & Documentation
- Participate in planning/team calls, internal handoffs, rehearsals, and post-event debriefs.
- Document build details, updates, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
- Follow established templates, processes, timelines, and quality standards, * Event technology platforms are built accurately, on time, and aligned with meeting requirements.
- Mobile apps and virtual platforms function smoothly with minimal last-minute issues or rework.
- Engagement tools are executed confidently and reliably during live sessions.
- Issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and resolved efficiently.
- Internal teams trust the quality of builds and live support provided.
- Events run smoothly from a technology and engagement perspective, even under live-event pressure.
- Documentation is clear, complete, and supports future improvements.
- Clients and internal stakeholders experience professional, consistent, and well-supported event delivery.
Remote Work Requirements
- Availability for U.S.-based time zones with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on live event schedules.
- Reliable high-speed internet suitable for video conferencing and collaboration
- Dedicated, professional workspace free from excessive interruptions
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate proactively
- Availability during core business hours with flexibility for early or late meetings across time zones
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, * Experience supporting event technology, live events, digital meetings, or related production environments.
- Comfort working across multiple technology platforms and adapting quickly to new tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.
- Ability to work calmly and professionally in live, time sensitive environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Ability to lift, transport, and store equipment up to 65 lbs.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by certain clients.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience supporting mobile event applications, virtual meeting platforms, or hybrid event environments.
- Hands-on experience with audience engagement tools such as polling, Q&A, quizzes, surveys, leaderboards, or gamification.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial services).
- Familiarity with event registration workflows, agenda management, or content publishing.
- Experience supporting live event rehearsals, show calls, or run-of-show execution.
- Comfort reviewing basic engagement metrics or post event reports.
- Experience working across multiple concurrent events with overlapping timelines.
- Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
