Beacon is building the operating system for childcare safety, supervision, and compliance.

Every day, childcare centers are responsible for the safety of millions of children, yet most supervision, documentation, compliance monitoring, and incident detection still rely on manual observation and paper processes.

Beacon combines computer vision, event intelligence, and AI to create a real-time awareness platform that helps childcare operators identify risk, improve supervision quality, document incidents, and maintain compliance.

We are seeking a technical co-founder who wants to build a category-defining company from the ground floor. This is a company-building role. You will own technology strategy, architecture, product development, hiring, and long-term technical vision alongside the founder.

• Cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities

As CTO

You will:

• Own overall technical strategy and architecture
• Make key technology decisions
• Lead product engineering execution
• Build and manage engineering teams
• Establish development processes
• Drive infrastructure scalability
• Lead security and privacy initiatives
• Participate in fundraising discussions
• Work directly with pilot customers
• Translate customer problems into technical solutions

As a Co-Founder

You will:

• Help shape company strategy

• Help recruit future leadership

• Make difficult decisions under uncertainty

Strong Experience In

• Computer vision: 2 years (Required)
• AI: 3 years (Required)

• building production software applications: 8 years (Preferred)
• processing video data or building video-based applications: 2 years (Preferred)
• designing software architecture for production systems: 5 years (Preferred)
