Job description

This is a full-time, hands-on, senior-level position requiring expert knowledge and experience designing and managing all aspects of a typical business technology stack, particularly in the small-to-medium sized business market. Focus is mostly on Microsoft-based applications and technology, but also includes day-to-day support of ancillary technology, including cloud, phone, storage, and virtualization platforms. The successful candidate will have demonstrated hands-on experience, knowledge, and expertise in not only technology, but also consulting with an outward mindset for small-to-medium sized businesses. You will foster the client relationship, own the environment, guide decision-making, propose & execute projects, and help drive growth for multiple clients, simultaneously. At BNC, being a trusted advisor with positive impact is as important as implementing the technology itself. Business Network Consulting (www.bncsystems.com) has been supporting the entire IT infrastructure of businesses in the Denver, Dallas, and Austin areas since 1997. This is a fast-paced environment, and those who join the team will have a very strong personal drive to succeed, be able to operate independently while also working within a structured system and be directly rewarded for their efforts. Responsibilities:

  • Project management - be well-organized, craft timelines and deliverables and communicate clearly to clients. Possess the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once through our project management system.
  • Be consultative - identify areas to improve our clients’ systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, and network). Pitch solutions to clients from proposal to implementation phases.
  • Serve as the main IT resource for assigned clients in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
  • Provide clear and sound advice to clients, acting as a true partner to their business.
  • Support servers, networks, desktops, laptops, both onsite and remote.
  • Design, implement and manage new installations and migrations.
  • Professionally and quickly manage system and/or network issues to resolution.
  • Identify ways to improve our clients’ systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, and network). Pitch solutions to clients from proposal to implementation phases.

  • Project management - be organized, craft timelines and deliverables and communicate clearly to clients. Possess the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
  • Lead by example. Mentor junior members of the BNC team, turning B players into A players. Assist with onboarding new engineers to the BNC TX team.
