Job description
As our IT Administrator, you’ll be the go-to person for all things technology across our office and job sites. You’ll manage our hardware, network, user accounts, and the business software our team relies on every day - including project management, accounting, CRM, and design tools. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting people directly, and keeping a small-but-mature tech environment secure and dependable.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff across the office and remote/job-site users (hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, connectivity)
- Administer and maintain user accounts, permissions, and licenses across Google Workspace and our business applications
- Manage and support our software stack.
- Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Oversee network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity at our office.
- Manage data backups, security practices, and basic cybersecurity hygiene (password policies, MFA, phishing awareness)
- Handle onboarding/offboarding IT setup for new and departing employees
- Maintain an inventory of hardware, software licenses, and SaaS subscriptions, and help identify cost savings and redundancies
- Document IT processes and provide light training to staff as needed
- Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers when needed
Requirements
Do you have experience in Wireless networking?, * 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role
- Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace administration
- Comfortable supporting and troubleshooting business SaaS applications (CRM, accounting, and project management tools)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs)
- Experience with Windows environments; familiarity with mobile device management
- Basic cybersecurity knowledge and best practices
- Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented, patient approach to helping non-technical coworkers
- Self-starter who can prioritize and work independently
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple requests at once
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Google Workspace Administrator)
- Experience in a small business or construction/remodeling environment
- Light automation/scripting experience (Google Apps Script, Zapier, or APIs)
- VoIP / business phone system administration
- Microsoft Excel power-user skills
